Sparks add additional budget and visibility to your job postings on Workpop.

If you have a tough-to-fill position or need to hire quickly, we recommend applying Sparks to your posting.

When you apply a Spark to your Job, we focus on attracting more candidates in a short amount of time.  By adding a Spark, your job will reach a larger audience, which in turn can result in an increase in applicants.


While applying a spark increases the audience that your posting reaches, we can not guarantee an increase in applicants.  Please note that since sparks traffic is largely impacted by partner traffic, increased visibility may not be immediate, as Workpop works to optimize your results.

Current Hiring Only (Pre April 2018)

As a Workpop customer, you have complete control over your sourcing budget, giving you the ability to customize your spend plan for the jobs that are the most important to your organization.

You will control your sourcing budget by adding Sparks to your Promoted Jobs.

  • Sparks allow you to apply additional budget to each active jobs on Workpop.
  • They may be purchased in $75 increments and there is no limit to the amount that can be applied to each job.
  • The more Sparks you add to a post, the more candidates it will reach!

 When you spark a job, your posting will:

  • Be shared with and receive additional budget on our premium paid partner sites
  • Be given premier placement on Workpop’s site
  • Receive a Hot Jobs designation on Workpop
  • Be featured in our weekly jobs emails to candidates
  • Get refreshed (so they will appear to be posted the day the Spark was applied)

 The result of all these extras is you’re able to reach more candidates, quickly.


With no sparks applied, jobs receive organic traffic from partners like ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor and more than a dozen other sources, in addition to the Workpop Network.

Sparks can only be applied to active jobs.

 To add Sparks to your Promoted Job:


  1. Log in to your Workpop account and navigate to My Jobs
  2. Click the “+” sign
  3. A side panel will open, and you will see a section called “Promote Your Job”
  4. Click the “+” and “-” signs to add or subtract Sparks from your order. The price will automatically reflect the correct total.
  5. When you’ve selected the correct number of Sparks for your job, click the green Promote button.
  6. You will see a confirmation pop-up message at the top of your screen, and your job is now Sparked and shared with our paid partner sites for optimal candidate sourcing!


Sparking your post will automatically refresh your job so it appears to have been posted the same day that the Spark was applied!


If you turn off or move your job to Careers Site Only, your Spark will be removed and you will lose any remaining time on your sparked job.


Sparks are NOT refundable. The additional posting budget is applied to your job as soon as it is applied and for this reason, we can not refund sparks once they have been applied to your job.
